I thought this picture from today was a good Thanksgiving-ish shot! My dd enjoyed playing in the costume closet with her good pal this afternoon.
Today I am thankful for a delicious new recipe from Nourishing Traditions: waffles made from fermented spelt flour. They have a very different but yummy tang to them. I'm thankful my kids ate them, but deeply grateful that I can!
I so very thankful that despite lots of good reasons to be angry today, I wasn't. In fact, I have so much peace and joy and energy today. Thank you, God!
I am thankful for our new Spanish curriculum (Visual Link Spanish) that my kids are absolutely crazy about. The kids' friend is joining us in using it and we are thankful for him, too.
I am thankful for my friend, Shannon, today. I have enjoyed spending more time with her this summer. Her fun-loving spirit is like a fresh breeze in my life. I pray that she will know the wonderful healing that I have been given.
I am thankful for my friend, Deb, too. I got to be in her Truth Project Bible study tonight and we got to do a little gabbing. I don't know why she never looks at me like I'm nuts, but she doesn't. Blessed travels, dear friend!
I am thankful for silliness. My dd was mad at me tonight, but mostly she was just tired. How thankful I am that I went to her, not with my usual irritation, but with goofy jokes.
Finally, I am so thankful for the relationship I have with God. He is truly a Father, Husband, and Friend to me. I am so glad to be able to just be me with Him.
New things make me happy so today's list is Terrific rather than happy.
First, I think it's terrific that I am going without a picture. I took one, but don't feel like using one and that's OK!
Second, I got a bunch of things done for the presentation our friend, Dr. Carl Werner, will be doing for our church at the end of October.
Third, I am delighted that friends suggested we plan Trunk or Treating this October as well. I found out it was a week past the deadline to advertise it in the church's monthly newsletter. I decided to write something up and pray it might get put in anyway. It did!
Fourth, I wrote a new episode of God's Witness News, a video ministry I started with my kids and haven't done all summer. I'm praying my second son will agree to do it!
Fifth, I really enjoyed writing back and forth with my new friend, Jacqueline, today.
Sixth, I am so glad the kids picked up the basement and all without me ever getting mad.
Seventh, I am happy I have homemade yogurt brewing made with milk fresh from the farm.
Eighth, I spent time preparing for my first day as a Daisy troop leader tomorrow.
Ninth, I had a blast being my kids' personal trainer today.
Tenth, I was fascinated by our study of Pompeii in history today. Can't wait to get a video on the subject!
Finally, I have loved having no appointments today and that I still have time to read before bed! See you tomorrow and hope you have a terrific day, too.
After 11 years I am playing tennis on a league. I am happy I recognized the terrible way I speak to myself about tennis and lots of other stuff and I vow to stop.
I loved having my dd leave me notes all over the house and a picture she drew just for me.
I am thankful for dear friends who helped me address continuing fears I have that my newfound health will be short-lived.
I am happy that I got the computer cabinets decluttered!
I am proud of myself for making popcorn with the big popper since my dh is always the one who does it.
I am happy I got to snuggle with my youngest babies last night.
I am so thankful to God for giving me His Word to comfort me last night.
